The Fradulent, Cheating and Unfaithful Airtel -I

I have had a very bad experience with the Airtel. They have cheated me in many a ways. Here is one sample of the recent one.


[From Daya to Airtel ]


Dear Sir,


Ref Bill NO: 64973995 Dated: 22nd July 2009 This is with respect to the above bill:


I have made ISD calls to the number 0024 3814 2088 15 on 6th JULY 2009. I have talked for 1:52 minutes. I have been charged a sum of Rupees 30/- for the same plus applicable taxes.


Just before making the call, I have called your customer care executives to know the call charges to the above country [ South Africa ]. They have confirmed that the charges would be Rs 9.20 per minute. Above you have charged me of Rs 15/- per minute plus applicable charges.


On the bill dated 22nd JULY also you have mentioned that the ISD call charges are Rs 9.2/- per minute.


I have chat with Ms. Emilda on 98450 12345, she suggested that the above charges are Rs 9.2/- per minute plus the taxes, that would amount to Rs 15/- per minute, which is completely wrong to my knowledge.


I had also raised a complaint 3-4 days back about the same, and I had chat with Mr. Yogananda, who took the complaint. Later some lady called me and said, when I enquired, the charges were Rs 9.2/- per minute only, but just before I made the call, the call rates were revised to Rs 15/- per minute. I do not agree with this argument too as you can not change the call rates on minute by minute basis. You can not say one thing when the customer calls you and make the gullible customers do a call and trap then with hefty when they have made the calls.


I request you kindly to return the above money along with the applicable taxes, which you have taken from me wrongly.

This change in ISD tariffs does not impact customers who have enrolled into any tariff plan in the last 6 months( as on 25-04-2009).


The same revised rates will be applicable for ISD calls


Hence, please be informed that there is no wrong charges found in your bill and you have been charged as per the tariff.

Dear Mr. Mohd Arif


Thank you for your mail. You say that you understand my concern, but you are saying the same statements from your side. Kindly accept that you are trying to cheat the innocent customers in a well organized manner in the name of changed tariffs, and making the new tariff on some website which does not work is not sufficient. You also need to make yourself aware of the tariff. You yourselves will not remember everything at all times. We rely on your customer care executives’ statements for any of our issues.


Kindly give me the details of the executives who have spoken with me. You can not continue to cheat people on the grounds of your hidden agenda and hidden charges. Also please revert the charges levied on me including the taxes.
