No! Its not Aishwarya Rai. The real actor in this beautiful woman is yet to be discovered if it ever will be. I know you guys will be burning to bang me but im afraid I feel that the comments by senior critics are true.
As for beauty ... there is no question. I’m one of you guys who is having trouble sleeping after seeing a nice picture of her somewhere. But as far her acting is concerned , its good enough to put you to sleep.
She has proved to be a director’s girl .. in fact a Sanjay leela’s girl. She won 2 awards for his films. But what about the 20 or so other films she acted in and that too with other big banner bigger directors? and one cannot definitely call this a talent. And if you notice there is not much difference in her acting style in HDDCS or Devdas. She cries , runs , smiles, dance , again cries. It seems that nandini was plucked from Salman and modified as paro for sharukh devdas khan.
Its quite obvious most of her producers and directors used her in the film either as a showpiece or a good looking character to pad in the areas where the super hero is not to be casted. She must’ve been choosy from first. Then came her home production which was a nuclear bomb at the BO.
She has self imposed a ’’International celebrity’’ status and as a part of it came ’’bride and prejudice’’ which happened to be one of the most hyped about film turned blunder of all times. Soon after this, ash too fell prey the ’’bollywood’’ style (un)dressing. You might’ve already seen her ’’int’l fashion’’ dress at the cairns and the hotty shows in yet to be released Shabd.
Comeon aishwarya! Come to your senses there is still time and you have enough beauty to get into hollywood or international films...but later. Try to be a better actor and not a directors’ puppet!
