Few days back I wrote a review on former miss universe sushmita sen and now iam going to write on former miss world aishwarya rai, she is one of the most beautiful women in the world . Ash started her career with film aur pyar ho gaya, which bombed at the box office but she was lucky enough to find takers for her , she got a chance to act in film hum dil de chuke sanam released in 1999 where she was paired opposite salman khan and apparently even ash and salman’s affair is believed to have started on the sets of this particular film This was the first and also the last time where one can see the ash act .Later what followed was a series of some trash films coming from her side .In 2002, devdas brought her into limelight she should be grateful to sanjay leela bhansali, this director has always given her hits Devdas added one more feather to her cap
and the same year, Ms rai made it to the cannes film festival to promote film devdas she won few accolades for her performance as well as got criticisms for her dressing sense. Post - devdas success , she became an international face.She appeared on popular tv shows like 60 minutes and oprah show Well I happened to see those interviews and one thing which i noticed was that aishwarya rai, most of the time giggles, gives inappropriate replies to the questions asked, sounds repetitive and also tends to change her accent .And She is no different from mallika sherawat, when it comes to giving statements if u guys remember, her statement on taj mahal, where she foolishly compared herself to taj mahal .Well I would prefer sushmita sen instead of ash, as she can truly represent india, she is elegant, graceful, carries herself very well I feel that sushmita is a way better than aishwarya rai be it her acting or be it her public conduct .
Now, moving onto aishwarya’s achievements,
Life has always come full circle for ash, besides being the second indian actress to grace the cover of times magazine, aishwarya also became the second indian to get waxed at the madame tussauds museum. she was voted as one of the most beautiful women by some magazine now dont ask me which magazine?
And as for aishwarya’s hollywood dreams, there were rumours that ms rai was going to hollywood but this did not happen, Her first hollywood film bride and prejudice failed to work at the box office then mistress of spices also turned out to be another bride and prejudice for her career And back home in bollywood, Her career was not going so well with films like shabd, dil ka rishta kuch na kaho and many more falling flat at the box office irrespective of so much hype .Yet somehow, ash managed to stay in the headlines, not for her films or her achievements actually, but for her affairs .Her long standing relationship with salman came to an end after so much of speculation.Soon to become the topic of discussion was her affair with vivek oberoi .On one hand vivek publicly acknowledged thier affair everywhere . On the other hand ash avoided this questions After one year, vivek disclosed the truth on a news channel, saying that he will marry ash .But things didnt go well with this lady and she called off her relationship with vivek instantly and moved on.Then a prince charming abhishek bachchan came in her life she acted in many films with abhishek bachchan. Just before the release of umrao jaan the rumours of ash and abhi’s impending marriage were doing rounds but this rumours didnot save this film from crashing at the box office.Then came Guru even after so much of hype and public appearances done by abhi and ash this film bombed at the box office and not even a well timed engagement could save this film
Well, one should learn from Aishwarya rai and the bachchan family on how to get cheap publicity Ash has cleverly planned her career regardless of flops .Otherwise, she is no different from a C grade actress like mallika sherawat or a koena mitra for that matter, who try to get cheap publicity by doing those item numbers and skinshows.
