A must see for all married & working men!
This is the first time I am writing a film review. I got to see AITRAAZ first day first show. [Now that?s a different experience]
The movie is the Hollywood hit DISCLOSURE with an Indian twist.
Raj [Akshay Kumar] is the R&D head of a cell phone co. with Priya [Kareena] as his wife. Enter Sonia [Priyanka Chopra] as his boss.
She tries to seduce him to have sex with her, he does not give in & she accuses him of attempted rape. How he defends himself when nobody believes him, except his wife, is the climax. [This is a very simplistic
view, but the movie has lots of other masala to keep the viewer engrossed]
This film is classified under Thriller category by some mags, but I would put it under Drama. The star cast is excellent and fit the characters perfectly.
The dialogues and the verbal sparring are great.
There was a lot of talk of it being another skin flick and steamy scenes; there is a show of skin but much less than other films; as for the steamy scenes, they are stylishly executed. Priyanka looks hot fully covered [Mallika & co. are you listening] Her eyes & face exude more oomph than other actresses with dare-bare clothes.
The music & songs are catchy & well picturised. [Wonder why a good song like ?anken bandh kar ke? was shown when the end credits were rolling?] I thought there were too many of them in the first half.
All said & done a good movie with a different story & stylishly mounted. It would do well in the cities though I?m not too sure about its fate elsewhere
