The max. power output of this system is 600 W PMPO.It is a mini-hi-fi with 3 band radio, CD and a double-deck for tape.It has a 3- CD carousel, 39 station preset for radio, 39 track programmable function for CDs. The speaker system has one woofer and a tweeter. Ther is no super-tweeter.Hence treble is not sufficient. It has got AUX input at the back.I have connected a discman to listen to MP3s & sound from VCDs. It is a good set-up if you donot want to dig deep into your pockets. This system reproduces good bass like for example I was listening to Michael Jacksons Black or White- I hope you remember the intro to the song when the son plays loud rock songs & his father comes & bangs at the door ( hear-the bang but please donot run to open your door as I had done when I first listened to this track). It has got 3 preset equalisers (rock, pop, classic) and 3 step bass levels. I faced only a small problem - When I use the head-phone jack & remove it-sometimes one of the speakers L or R is still switched OFF.I took it to the authorised service centre afterr taking 4 hrs OFF my duty;but in course of the journey it was set right by some reason and I ended up looking silly in front of the service team and they had no explanation to my no-problem.But the same thing happenned after a months time and I decided to live with it( once bitten twice shy) .
Then one day I used the head-phones which were working fine ( both L & R working) and pronto the next day both speakers were working fine. Then it dawned on me that when I used & removed the head-phones one channel -the L or the R was still hooked on to the head-phone output & hence sound was bypassed. The remedy for this is to play a CD and repeatedly plug the head-phones in & out till both your speakers speak! One more drawback is radio reception in MW & SW range is good only if you mount the antennae in the T-shaped fashion as shown in the manual on your wall. But due to asthetic considerations -me & many of my friends don t do it-we are content with listening to FM broadcasts.
