One of my family members bought an Ajanta wall clock from an watch store in our city. It was a general wall clock costing around Rs 499. There was a time when Ajanta watches used to be famous.
The watch was ok looking at the price. It was mounted on the concrete wall with a pin. After putting a cell inside it and setting the time, we mounted it on the wall.
But disappointing part was that it never lasted for more than a year. We had to replace it with a new watch because of its poor durability. Within a year, suddenly the watch started to lag behind in time. Time time became slower than the actual time. I even set it correctly many times but still it lagged behind and automatically became slower. Then I thought that the battery might be discharged. Therefore I tried it with a brand new battery cell. But I noticed that the watch still got slower than the actual time. The hour and mintue hands sometimes got stucked. I realized that the watch might be damaged. I expected it to be somewhat long lasting. But nowadays, time of Ajanta is over.
