This is one helluva deal.no hi fi looks or freebies but a solid product.it had good picture clarity , excellent sound with the woofer in place. man it will blow your socks off it is a good budget deal if you want a large screen television .the picture tube is quite flat but not totally.clarity is good and right there with the big names.the sound is also superb with the full throated growl of a woofer with just a hint of distortion but then this is not a music system.vocal clarity was quite good and upto the mark.besides it has all the usual stuff like hyperband and av input and output terminals.it is no exotic stuff but best suited for people looking for a solidly built product.if you were looking for a large size tv and wont mind splurging even then the akai is a good deal.i would rate it 80 out of 100
