AKIRA! The name itself drags me towards it. The day the trailer and the teasers were released, I always wanted to have a watch. In short, its a perfect movie centralising on todays theme. Featuring Sonakshi Sinha, it has given a very good lesson as well as taught us many things. Nowadays, young girls as well as college girls are so much harrassed. Teasing, following, abusing is very much common. Girls either think of their self respect or about her parents who have a name in society. Taking them so easy, the boys hanging out in a group feel themselves hero. They take advantage of these girls and continue with their actions. One such incident on acid attack has also been shown which really strikes emotionally deep down my heart. Yes, its very true. Many such incidents have already happened. Hundreds of victims have either lost their lives or still suffering. Why? Is it a crime being a GIRL?.Why are girls been questioned and pointed? And if she raises a question, either matters turn more worse or she is attacked more severely. Akira has been shown a very courageous girl who fights till the end of the movie. A very unique and much different from other Bollywood genres, Akira is worth watch to see. Her immense fight scenes does not give a feel of any thing other than an action movie. Although there are not much songs in the movie except a few as this movie itself is unique and different from others. How she tackles with college students and the police department, the reality has been portrayed. When one watches it, it gives the feeling of some real scene happening in front. At a young age, she loses her father whom she loved the most. It was his father whose lessons she never forgot. She learns self defense and makes full use of it. She also has to face several other problems. Being in grip of legal cases, it also had effect on her academic studies as had to go to jail. Many such challenges has been shown in her life(which you will get to know once you watch it). Another thing which I would like to say is everyone specially girls should learn self defense for herself so that at any point of time, she does not feel helpless.
