I watched akira on the release day. Fantastic plot with mind blowing acting from Anurag kashyap. The location and backdrop of the shoot is ideal. It looks like a decent comback for Sonakshi sinha who is playing as Akira a rough desi girl who is subjected to childhood violence and has somewhat justified the role with the kind of actions she has performed. The character is bit underportrayed with the amount of shots being equally shared by anurag kashyap and sonakshi herself. The story revolves around a girl and a corrupt police officer with lots of jargons and deviations here and there. The plot promises multiple angles of actions but the climax has failed to justify and recollect the aspects and bind it to a wholesome package. The main attraction of the movie is Anurag kashyap’s corrupt police officer role who goes on play this despicable character like a veteran. Sonakshi sinha promises for a action star but she could have done better with a little more taste and flavour in the action scenes. Direction : - 4/5. Dialogue: - 3.5/5. Story : - 4/5. Music: - 3/5. Visual appeal : - 3.5/5. All in all a decent watch. A weekend entertainer.
