I didn't spend a dime, thank god!!

I thank my lucky stars, I saved a good 70-100 bucks on this movie. I was all set for the evening when my friends had set up a get-to-gether to watch the movie at the Multiplex. Due to work I opted out and how much that I miss it that evening.

The next day I watched it on my comp - got a CD (it was free, a dejected friend gave it), but I was keen becoz of the big B and the few promos that I had seen of Manoj Bajpai and lovely Raveena.

The expectations were high and I didn’t want to watch it alone in a theatre. The movie starts on a fundu note. I looked and sounded like a hollywood thriller. Just as gripping as it can get, but only for the first 15 minutes. Then the interest starts waning off.

Amitabh is good to some extent. Maybe Amitabh was wasted.

Manoj comes of good, quite good. His hairdo and expressions are fabulous.

Raveena is quite nice as the seductive bar dancer. THe song ’’yeh raat’’ choreographed on her was quite swelte’

I liked Nandita too, the casting was nice too.

But then the film does not hold attention beyond the end of first half. It has been totally wasted. Starting of on a hollywoodish note it goes on to the Panchayat ’’Sadhus’’ and ’’Sanyasi’’ and ’’Bhuvas’’.

The Dialogues are not at all rememberable, the script, meanders, into ’’Bhut-pret’’ and doesn’t seem to have any grasping value. I liked the way the Gita Shloka ’’Na koi marta hai...’’ has been used in the film. It has gone on to be the strongest dialogue of the film.

The end is pathetic, ends as abruptly.

All in all its looks like an art movie, promoted the commercial way with promotions.
