Bindaas B....!!

Banda Ye Bindaas Hai.. Yes!! Rakesh Mehra is Bindaas where the picturesque part of the movie is concerned. A real Thriller/Horror movie... based upon an English movie (I don’t remember the name, if you please) starring Denzil Washington. But please do not try to find the reason behind all the mess.

No sound effects have ever been so effective in an Indian Movie. Music and picturization makes the movie a must but watchable once only. The director should have opted for a better script than this ghostly one. The non-believable part spoils the whole show. The performances of AB and MB were very good. Especially AB. He sounds so fresh and suitable to the role that even with a younger partner - Nandita Das, he seems compatible. Manoj and Raveena were dramatic whereas the AB and Nandita were a bit realistic.

The photography of the movie is marvellous. Hardly remember any scene where camera is not moving. Background score develops 60% of the freightning environment in the movie. Computer graphics are wonderfully used in the casting of the movie. The lyrics are by Gulzar - as usual, sometimes really good and other times not understood. Kaali karvili raat.... (Black and bitter night).... Aaja Gufaon Mein Aa..... The one with Ramlila theme had a humorous wording. Most are sung by Amitabh himself.

Overall ’’A must watch once’’ movie.
