Akshardham is an excellent example of beautiful Indian architecture. Its easy to reach there, as Delhi being the capital of India is well connected through buses, trains and flights. After reaching Delhi you can hire a cab or can opt for metro. The nearest metro station is Akshardham metro station which is situated in blue line. Akshardham temple is at walking distance from the metro station but it would be better if you take a hand rikshaw to go there.
Akshardham means divine abode of God and this temple is dedicated to God Swami Narayan. Akshardham premise has very tight security, you have to leave all your belongings at the counter outside of main premise. One more thing wear covered dresses like saree, suits, jeans and top etc. because they don’t allow open dresses like shorts, off shoulder tops etc inside the temple. It’s hard to describe it’s beauty, the temple is very big and there are open gardens, water bodies and a restaurant inside, which by the way is very expensive. If you visit the temple don’t miss the water show because it’s awesome. It is one of the must see places in Delhi.
