Good college if u cant crack AIEEE.

As an ex student who passed out in 2003 I would agree with some points in some of the reviews but not all.

Lets take one by one:

Faculty: Was never great but has improved vastly.

Hostel: Many colleges in Haryana do not have on campus hostels. Who wud want to stay in remote places. Trust me I have seen worst hostels.

Canteen: Has always been bad. Needs to improve drastically.

Students: Not above 60% is absolutely trash. I studied on Muslim quota seat and had 81%(CBSE) marks in 10+2. Passed BE with Hons. Yes some percentage of students like say 15 - 20%, u may feel do not deserve to study with u but u got to remember that its a minority institution and they have to serve the minority community as that was the basic purpose of setting up of this institution. Minority reservations are there in many countries including the USA, South Africa etc. for blacks and also in many other countries.

Safety: There is no safety. This is again trash. I agree sometimes students are ragged physically, but its worse in some of the other colleges. During my time I remember SM Quadri taking on some of the seniors and locals with sticks and thrashed them black and blue. Yes there are no private security guards but we all know they are no good for security any way.

Placements: Yes placement data is not for on campus and is rigged to some extent but hey thats the way for most of the colleges in Haryana. Most of us got good jobs and there is nothing wrong in higher studies, I did PG(IIT Kgp) myself after BE but I could qualify the exam only bec I did BE.

Washrooms: They are stinking and bad. Not true. All washrooms stink to some extent but its not so bad.

All in all, the college has come a long way and has improved a lot. Definetly recomended for those who do not get high ranks in AIEEE or other exams. Definately recommended for minority students.
