I got an opportunity to lay my hands on the new Alcatel OneTouch 320 mobile phone. At a first look it impressed me with its compact design. Looks stylish yet simple.
Now coming to specifications:

The phone that my friend has a yellow back light and clear display of 112 x 64 pixels(higher the pixel count , the clearer the display). It has a good interface with soft keys and also graphic icons. There are also menu icons. The set of 15 polyphonic ringtones preloaded in the handset is pleasant and there is also an inbuilt vibrator. Upto 100 entries may be stored in the phone memory ion addition to SIM card memory. There are 5 groups to which ring tones and icons can be assigned. Pretty handy feature! Calculator, Currency converter and world time with alarm are other standard features.
There is this thoughtful feature of multiparty calling and the loudspeaker feature is just great. Plus 3 games and also an animated screen saver. The battery lasts around 3 days. The voice reception is really clear. There is also volume controller and contrast adjustment ; plus a six-setting audio profiles(meeting, car, outdoor, regular, total &user-defined). Key 3 is the shortcut.
However , the area where the product lags is the lack of predictive text input and it is not clear whether ringtones could be downloaded(I dont think it can be done).
In other words , this is a great handset for its price(INR 2990) and best deal when compared to Nokia 3310 & 3315.
