Bought this phone on 2April, 2011 in India at Rs. 4500/-
Pros:
a) WiFi connects with no hassles & works very fast. No connectivity drops.
b) Battery is superb. With WiFi on and continuous heavy browsing and calling, it lasted for about 34 hours.
c) Most of your favourite apps are already installed, like Facebook and Twitter.
d) Opera Mini gets the job done, but since it is not upgradable, it lacks what other browsers like BOLT are offering.
e) The Alcatel OT-806D is a dual sim model, where both sims remain in active state.
f) Display is clear and bright. There are brightness settings for custom adjustment.
g) Music player & radio are good.
h) Call quality is very good.
i) The UI is very responsive.
Cons:
a) Since the touchscreen is resistive, its not very responsive, but definitely better than the competition in this range.
b) Camera quality is not good. Grains appear in even modest lighting conditions.
c) Video player downloads and plays video from Alcatel portal only. Also, I could not get the streaming to work. Every time I tried streaming urls, it saidConnection Error. I guess I may have to talk to my service provider about this.
So, if you want to get a phone with almost all the features, get yourself one of these today.
