I was hunting for a very strong adhesive that will repair my beater car’’s exhaust pipe. The local mechanic insisted that the entire exhaust assembly has to be changed at a cost of Rs. 4000/- The authorized service center refused to entertain my car saying that parts are not available.
A search in the Internet showed that there is a product from the United States called as JB Weld that can repair all this and more.
Problem is to find a genuine dealer who sells genuine JB Weld products and not some counterfeit Chinese version.
The same search took me to this site. They contained additional information only a manufacturer will know - thus indicating that they may be selling genuine stuff.
Took the plunge and ordered.
The product arrived soon and it was a metal paste. I was confused. I called up their help line and spoke to them.
Really hand it to them. They explained how to prep the surface and explained the steps in great detail. Thanks to that, the job was patched. After waiting for one full day - the result -
Voila. No more smoke inside the car and no abnormal sound from the exhaust. Really happy about the end result. It cost me about Rs.1100/-
