I have to write about Tarun J Tejpal’s second novel "THE STORY OF MY ASSASSINS" in the review meant to be for his debut novel "THE ALCHEMY OF DESIRE" because his second book has not been updated in this website and I would like all the members of this wonderful potrayal to know about Telpal’s second novel.An avid reader myself I grabbed this piece of raw energy as soon as it hit the stores.
If Tejpal’s debut novel was a best seller earning him world wide recognition then his second novel has surprassed his first making both his critics and fans proud of this fantastic novel about present India and its multilayered creeds, religions, politics and organised crime.
Only Tejpal would had thought of writing "chutter-putter" English and given names like kaaliya, chini and hathoda tyagi to his characters which ensures the realistic charisma to the story.The novel is a beautiful invention of the author’s potentialities which will take the readers into the relentless codes of power and wealth that drive societies.A must read for all....
Not being a critic I know I have fumbled with appropriate words to describe this masterpiece but the reader would be a winner of having a new approach to look at the wold.........
