Alien:Covenant

The movie is set in the year 2104, with the journey of a spaceship named Covenanat, heading towards a distant planet called Origae-6. The ship carrying a few thousand people and embryos in a state of deep sleep is suddenly met with an accident with the captain Walter/David(Michael Fassbender) giving orders to awaken the crew. When the repairing works of the ship is being carried out, they trace a distant radio signal from another unknown planet situated nearer to the ship and decide to explore it. One of the crew members, Daniels(Katherine Waterston) objects to this, however, the captain in command, Oram(Billy Crudup), who has taken over after the previous captain died, when the damage occurred, on the assumption, that this nearby planet might be more inhabitable embarks to explore the planet with some of his crew members. This becomes a grave mistake as the planet has some ferocious aliens that kill the crew members one after another.

What go from here are the same old alien stories found in movies on extraterrestrial creatures. The director, Ridly Scott, takes it forward with fancy experiments, one of the crew members going rogue, here this is David who experimenting with embryos, created some kind of parasites, called as Neomorphs and chose the remote planet for its further evolution.

The movie is extremely boring with a well predicted storyline, the journey, the attacks and lastly the escape. The special effects are the usual ones with nothing really impressive.
