Aligarh is direct, dark with a ray of hope
Aligarh is about an ordeal of a gay professor siras who had his own poetic world and manoj bajpayee has nailed it yet again adding another feather in his hat. His portrayal as a subtle, gay, sober professor is profound and too much alive. Movie rides on dual performance of manoj and rajkumar in gloomy and dull backdrop which was lifeless and ideally was meant to be to highlight individual performances. Rajkumar rao is hansal mehtas favorite and always rightly casted right from shahid till here. His energy is really commendable. Aligarh is not a mass entertainer as it is purely a dark gloomy verse which narrates beautifully like odyssey and creating acting ripples across the globe. But a worth watch for someone looking for authentic cinema. would recommend for hardcore cinema fans.
I will give 4 Star to this movie.
