Recently I flew with this airline from Geneva-Milan-Mumbai. On entering the aircraft which was an ATR from Geneva to Milan, the only male flight attendant had a wooden expression on his face upon my entry and I was wondering all the way whether my face disfigured overnight but fortunately that wasnt the case its always my weird imagination....to study peoples expression really closely.
Anyway, I thought his uniform was of good colour and of course its similar to the airline paint. It was almost an hours flight and the announcement he made in Italian was real fast, just like their numero uno car in the world!
The food(breakfast to be precise) comprised of a ham and cheese sandwich and orange juice which is the regular fare in all airlines.
My connecting flight from Milan to Mumbai was kindda fun. Charming air hostesses who are friendly to you but friendlier to their locals. The flight wasnt full so everyone almost got a window seat (including me) and though there isnt much inflight entertainment, the food was ok but the beers were great. The male attendant this time was too generous to offer me beers every now and then (maybe he liked me, for reasons I dont know of).
So, overall the journey was ok. Service isnt too great (except for the beer donor) Inflight entertainment is ok, Food is ok, everything else is OK.
All in all, quality comes at a price and since Alitalia offers cheap fares compared to the others, you can understand the rest.
Do fly this airline if you dont want an experience and if its the only available one in your desperate situation like flying to win your love back who is miles away. Dont fly this airline if you have flown with better ones and have choices to make.
Grazie!
