My experience is limited to Alitalia Mumbai – London and back flight.
Key points of discussion
o Never on time.
o Air Hostesses not friendly.
o Poor quality food service.
None of the four flights that I had to take from Mumbai to London and back were on time as per schedule. Almost missed the flight displayed a status of Delayed on the board when the flight was being taxied to the runway. The flight staff was least bothered to update the status on the board. It was by sheer luck that I thought of checking out the related terminal ignoring the status on the board because of which I did not miss the flight.
The flight crew was not at all friendly. Leave friendly, they were not even talking properly. All conversation by the crew was in Italian. All announcements comprised of a lengthy Italian announcement followed by just one to two lines English translation.
There was a problem with food on all the four flights. I never received the pre-ordered 100% Veg food. They were always in shortage of the same. In one of the flight the passenger list showed that I had made no food preferences declared. I had made multiple confirmation calls regarding my food preferences.
