The voice "Ye Aakasvani Hai, Ab Aap .se samachar suniye" gives a sense thrill and excitement. there was a time when people of whole villages gather at place to hear the news, music and many more useful programmes. Voice of famous news readers even today rings in our ear. There are specific programmes for farmers, students and other segments of society. Even toady it hold a charms to the people in rural as well as urban areas. for me, it was a moment of great excitement when I was selected to participate in a youth programme being aired at Aakasvani Varanasi Centre during my graduation from BHU. For hostelers a radio was must for listening news and music specially during night hours.
Recently, a programme "Man Ki Baat" by Prime Minister has added value and attraction to Aakasvani. It has become very popular and is being listen all over the country. Even in the era of commercial radio channels, Aakasvani has still retain and is growing its attraction to the common people.
This is very useful for student and all other knowledge seekers.I have always been fond of All India Radio and still listening news and music.
