I have been using all out for the last ten years. the first all out came with a long lead wire which could extend to about three feet and maybe a little more. the problem was that it got spoilt very fast. the light bulb fused quickly. but I bought another one as I found it very effective during my study hours and also when I was sleeping. and since then I have bought some more as the need has grown along with my family and have recommended it to numerous friends.
only once have I had some problem with its efficacy. this was about one year back when suddenly I found the mosquitoes not getting repelled. but once I changed the liquid bottle the problem was solved. so maybe it was a case of an adulterated refill bottle although I buy my refills from the same shop each time which is a big store.
sometimes I even replace the all out liquid with the good night refill and I find it equally effective maybe because they both have the same chemical composition that is allethrin.
allethrin has so far not been shown to be harmful to humans. therefore the alarm is uncalled for.
yes it can be upgraded to something bette wherein maybe the manufacturers can incorporate some new attractions like a bulb of indicator to show that the refill is over. I have to keep checking it to make sure it still has some liquid in it. and many a times I have been caught with an empty bottle in the middle of the night.
on the whole I am happy with it. I have also used it when my kid was born who is now almost three years old.
