Okay, okay, so I exaggerate...but they really are good.

Beautiful Day was the first to make its appearance on the music channels, atleast here, in Asia. Its a really good song. I must admit, I didnt like it at first. In fact, I, quite irrationally, wrote off the song, and the whole album as nothing-great, and wondered if the band should retire!!!!
But after listening to it a couple of times, youll love this song, it really grows on you. And no, not like a fungus!
Its got some great moments, when the pace suddenly changes, or the crescendo suddenly rises...it doesnt sound patchy or forced, its beautifully done. Youre eased throughout the whole song.
The video for the song is nothing to write home about though. I particularly hate the bit revolving around the conveyor belt, and all those couples kissing....its so unnecessary.
Getting back to the album...my personal favourite is New York. its great in every sense. Bono does this really dreamy voice in the beginning. Its all that this album stands for---theyve experimented with pitch and pace; the instrumentalisation is awesome; and the lyrics, great.
Makes for good listening---while driving, studying, chilling out with friends, or with a book, or just before you go to sleep. Id suggest you give this one a try. The albums worth picking up, even if youre stuck in a moment you cant get out of...
