Allahabad Fort in the city of Allahabad is in the State of Uttar Pradesh which was mainly ruled by Mughal dynasty and its architectural concept is purely of Islamic concept.
It is widely spread over a large area with high end walls in mud and sand colour. It is one of the oldest forts in this region of Uttar Pradesh. From the top view of fort you can easily view the entire city of Allahabad. The fort has few collections of weapons, utensils, handicrafts etc.
But the fort is now little bit on a dilapidated stage and currently repairs works are going on in the cracked portion of the walls. It is under the control of Tourism Authority of State Government who has taken the initiative to protect its legacy. Security is not tight as it is not a much explored place for tourism. But, in last seven years, the frequency of tourists has increased a lot.
Photography is allowed and there is entrance fee to visit the fort. This fort overall depicts the culture and rich heritage of this region under Mughal dynasty which is worth to visit with your family.
