Would like to share something on Allen Solly brand. To start with the Allen Solly brand has been in existence since 1744 and is currently a trademark of William Hollins & Co. Ltd., England. It is the most trusted in case of quality.
Let me start with my experience with Allen Solly shirt. Once I decided to gift my brother a shirt.
I went to the best shop in Ghatkopar called as Star plus (will write a review some other time) which has wide variety and brands of shirts and trousers. I told him that I want a good shirt (didn?t know its asks for good prices also) so he started showing me shirt checks kind of and plain executive etc. I picked up a nice plain smooth fabric one cream colour shirt. There was nothing so special in pattern, but the fabric made me feel good.
I asked him prices and then a strange look on my face 4 figures!!! The range starts I guess from 800 onwards. I just put it aside and ended up buying nothing. Of course I gifted but not shirt J but the shirt still remains my choice and would buy one day? the day hasn?t come yet.
The next experience aha my mom buying for her to be son-in-law?. She never thinks even if its 4 figures ha ha and she bought 2 for him and came with a bill some 2000. I was ???? why did get 2. she said both are nice so I bought both? Well indeed a good gift. He liked it, who wont J
It has varieties of shirts with different fitting like a wider shoulder seam and armhole and b box pleat for fullness. The distinctive burgundy buttonhole on cuff and pocket identify the Allen Solly wearer. Trouser I have never bought but they seem good for business meet and at the late evening dinner. The colour palette centers on khaki, beige, gray, tan and shades of blue. While fabrics hinge on cotton and cotton blends.
They also have a trouser called chinos, (woven from rich cotton yarn, this exotic fabric owes its origin to China - which explains the name ’Chinos’). They are comfortable and extremely light trousers that puts at ease. Have not bought though but could see. (Women see 100 and choose one) There are even 12 trend-setting colours to choose from. (as said by the salesperson) Then there is Khakis, the Allen Solly cut with a straighter fit, no pleats and a narrower thigh, give it a jeans-like fit, available in fabrics like cotton and blends and in all the characteristic. As colours, they are like peach or cream.
That?s all? I have never bought ties (there are other options) or belts. But I feel Allen Solly is a premier products and shall be bought for special occasions and need not be wore everyday at work. Good for special meetings or conferences, even presentations. It improves the personality. You can also use it for your suits, they just look great, those plain ones. For regular use try Peter England or any other brand. If you wear it on occasions only then it is special. Good for gifting (provided you have enough money). So have a nice time dressing guys!!!
