I am using Alliance Broadband for last 4/5 years. But since last 2/3 months they have incorporated a very unethical and dangerous method of maximizing their income through illegal procedures and channels.
As an ISP provider, legally, they are not supposed to inject java script Ads into your browser without your permission, which they have started doing since past 2/3 months. If you contact their freaking customer care, then they will tell you to do whatever you want to and they will not remove their ad injection policy. They are also not afraid of legal consequences which obviously shows that they have some good political/govt connections and due to this power, they think that can do whatever they want.
The Ad Injection is not only an irritating issue while browsing, but also a very unsafe method of browsing. Basically what Alliance is doing - they are modifying the address that is being typed in the address bar and then modifying the output of the page you are trying to visit with their own code, thus making your browsing unsafe and putting your sensitive personal data at risk.
As per our very old tradition, this Alliance Broadband is also very dishonest and doesn’t care about consumer security. The only reason for this is out of 10 customers, 9 will not even understand anything about the ad injection and the 1 customer who will catch this intrusion will leave alliance and will go for something else. Apparently 1 customer out of every 10 leaving Alliance is not at all a concern for them and they know that the other 9 not-so-well informed customers will stay with they for a longer term.
I would request all friends who are using Alliance Broadband to take proper stance and quit Alliance Broadband if they see this happening in their are and also try to make others aware of the issue.
