If it is for kolkata, i’ll recomend not to take ALLIANCE BROADBAND connection. u have to pay pay 1500/- for connection and package money but belive me not a single day you can surf full time. Either gateway not found, or request timed out(24online client or giving ping). You have to call the Zone Engineer 100times a day. Whenever he comes, surprisingly connection starts. And after half an hour of leaving my home the problem still persists.
After getting this connection my realtek 8139 lan card also gone. now they told me, they make wrong connection from the hub. but still the problem occuring. I’ve also Dataone connection which has no problem except the speed of ISP for last one year. 2007 is the year broadband and we want greater speed and connection from ISPs.Dataone and Airtel is a good choise. Unlimited pacakges of 72kbps=349/- is good. You can get upto 512kbps in the unlimited pacages.
