I happened to see this website and was attracted by their discount coupons, which were an introductory offer. I was a little skeptical in the beginning since they were offering 50% discount on Rs.500 and above, that made my purchase to about Rs.275 shipping included. But I thought maybe they are a startup and want to promote. I decided to give it a try.
Although the online transactions and the overall website experience was smooth, the problems began after the transactions went through. After about two weeks I received 2 out of 4 ordered items. Since I thought it was mistake I tried their helpline number, but never got through. Finally I wrote an email and got a reply, assuring it will be sent soon. My order was placed on 15th April 2013 and was partially received, I am yet to receive the pending 2 items.
This experience leaves a number of questions for anyone wanting to buy from this website:
Are only offers and discounts enough to buy a product, after sales service isn’t important?
Can we trust a new website like this one, with our credit card information? If they don’t commit to sending the products purchased, what more could they cheat us with.
Isn’t there any regulatory board or institution, to keep these websites on check, so customer grievances can be looked upon, and action taken against them?
Until we do have these rules in place, the internet is a safe haven for someone making money, out of others trust.
