When it comes to ACK _ I do agree I am a bookworm. Its should be I was a bookworm _ but after 20 years also I still keep my priorities apart and do finish reading an ACK.
As said in my childhood Ram and Lakshman used to be our heroes and Raavan our Villain. We used to even play this bow & arrow game. Its all form the books we read at that time............ it was a true version of our Culture _ which even our elders forget / or don’t know about. And tell u friends it helps in building our character.
We even believed there were Blue men (after reading about Lord Krishna). It even made us say that the STAR WAR friends belonged to Krishna’s family. Its all the b’coz of the way the mind was captured by ACK.
It was phenomenal. To say about the Pandavas and the Kauravas. The Hanuman _ the Great Askoka all made the child know our roots and the culture.
The other series I never missed was the Tinkle. I am toooooo proud to say we must be hilarious as SHAMBU and clever as KALLIA. I used to read all the editions in the first one over. I do agree that was the time when there was not much influence of the Television on the Generation. But still if exist Children should read these books _ which help them improve their General Knowledge and the do improve the good human being inside you.

Bind in my cupboard. You and I agree we are pron to read all these western books like the ARCHIES, DISNEY etc.......
We should also make our younger generation know about our roots.
We must help our children in shaping their mind and Character.
