Well, I started using Amazon.in as early as 2012.In those early days it suprised me with their jaw dropping discount and prompt services.They sold product with prices almost half of what is charged in local markets.Their delivery speed, Customer service were just awesome.But after 5years, if I have to describe it, I will simply say one word DISGUSTING. In last 6months I ordered almost 20 items of which I received hardly one or two items the same way as it is described on the site.In the site they show one item and at the time of delivery they give you another item which is cheap, faulty and not at all match with the description.
To make things worse, their return policy is horrible.In most of the product they don’t even arrange the return pick up, means you have to send it to the seller on your own.Once you sent it you have to provide proof that you have actually sent it and then wait for about 1month at least to get a refund.During this period you have to call customer care daily to remind them that you have already sent the item and still waiting for the refund.After pleading them for about 7-8times they may release the refund. In case of mobile phones, returning is even harder than meeting the CM of your state.
Once you submit the return request they will tell you to wait for their call which may take about 2-3days.After that they will tell you to install one app and then tell you to do nearly 15-20 changes in the mobile settings.In one call they will tell you one troubleshooting option i.e 20 calls to finally to make the product eligible for return. At last, Some positive things about Amazon.in is that they have a large collection of products.You will get almost everything from electronic items to grocery items.With my recent experience I can say that they don’t cheat in case of grocery items and books.Also they provide huge discount and the product quality is same as it is shown on the site.Anyway, A big thanks to all the readers for reading my lengthy review with patience.
