Just one word- "awful"

Its really amazing how such a big name can deliver such awful service! I had placed an order for a handbag with amazon during their big sale. I paid online and I was given an expected delivery date 10 days later. Now 5 days after placing the order I get an email saying my order has been cancelled because the merchant could not procure the product.


Well this in itself is pretty preposterous, if you don’t have the product then why list it on the website? But anyway I didn’t think much of it. The real issue in this order I have is with the customer service. I dropped an email inquiring about my refund but never got a reply. This is how the "most customer centric company on earth" treats its customers. they blocked my funds uselessly for over a week and not even a word of apology or you know any word at all!


This incident was only the latest in my bad experiences with amazon. The previous ones have been even worse but I was willing to give them the benefit of doubt, however such incidents are not isolated they are routine with amazon. My friends and family have also had similar bad experiences. I for one am swearing off amazon forever. Why bother with this sub standard website when I have great alternatives available.
