Before buying this book, you must know that we can really learn new words
from books like Word Power Made Easy. I was brought up to believe that
we can learn words only by reading a lot. I must confess the idea is wrong.
We should read books on vocabulary building to learn new words.
This book gives up topic wise words; some of the topics are as follows:
Words to talk about personality types 2. Words to talk about liars and lying
Words to describe speech habits 4. Words about friends 4. Words about
enemies.
These are just few topics. The book has many other interesting chapters on words.
Remember the most important point: if you are serious about learning words,
do all the exercises given in the book. The drills repeat words two to three times
and in different ways so that material is reinforced and we really pick up
the words.
Norma Lewis has done a great service by compiling this book.

A book by by Nurnberg and Rosenblum is also an excellent resource. If you read
all these books, you will fall in love with English language and its lexicon.
