No delivery and no ownership of responsibility

I ordered a phone on Amazon(order no. 404-5897562-9419535), they didn’t even deliver it, forget on time. When I called they kept saying that it will be delivered soon blah blah.  But it never happened. It has been more than 10 days.


The delivery address (DLF Cybercity Gurgaon) is a very prominent address, where delivery is usually done by Flipkart in just 1 or 2 days. Their customer service guys were acting quite irresponsibly by telling that they can only tell what they see in their system and cannot help further, basically not accepting the ownership of late delivery on company’s behalf.


I had to gift it to my mother on her birthday and I missed doing that because of Amazon. Probably, it was my last purchase (or attempt to purchase) here.


I am guessing probably their supplier denied honoring its earlier commitment of their delivery services is unreliable. They have to do a lot to reach to level of Flipkart or Snapdeal.


They have great legacy, but apparently that is history, while newer, younger and innovative players were not there.


Flipkart/Snapdeal are far better in most of the aspects, whether it is user-friendliness of site, delivery or quality.


I anyways have to cancel the order now and either buy it from a store or from a reliable online retailer.
