On October 23, 2014, I placed an order for iPhone 5S 16 GB in the India website. Next morning I found a message lying in my inbox that the item has been dispatched and I shall receive it by or on October 28, 2014.
This morning I contacted the customer care through online chat and I was assured that my package will be delivered by 8PM, as the tracker indicated. Around 7:56 PM, I lost patience and I contacted the customer care guys again.
I was made to frustrate with poor English and apologetic people, giving reasons of festivals as a delay. The website tracker does not show a delay.
The courier service used by Amazon is Aramex and I tried contacting them also. I called the helpline six times. Five times I was made to hold for more than 15 minutes and the sixth time I waited for seven minutes, till the call got disconnected automatically.
There is a particular reason why I am very anxious about the delay.
I will be out of town and soon there will be no one to accept the order and it will go back.
If it was you at the receiving end, then how would you have reacted?
I have been told that I will receive it by November 1. I leave on November 3rd and if by chance they dont deliver on November 1, I wont receive before I leave, as Sundays you guys dont deliver. Amazons competitors did deliver on a Sunday after there were two days of festivities in India.
I do not know what the problem is but, I would like my order to be delivered on promised date and time.
