Worst Cancellation Policy - The Real Story

Site: https://Amazon.in, Order id: 402-2886843-0276325. The order was given on Apr 30, 2014. Fast forward, the seller(PRETTY DIVA) didn’t ship the item. Even though there are very bad ratings to the seller as I don’t find the product on other sites, I had ordered (using online payment). I mailed the seller 3 times, there is no response. I informed to Amazon, but no action was taken.


I decided to cancel but as per Amazon’s cancellation policy they say they have to contact the seller and wait for his confirmation and they initiate the refund. When the seller didn’t even ship the item and is obvious from the status and when the given delivery time is already over but they still didn’t refund the money. After with my 5th request in total, Amazon cancelled the order finally and refunded the money.


YOU MAY NOT BELIEVE JUST TO CANCEL THE ORDER WHICH IS NOT DELIVERED THEY TOOK NEARLY 30 DAYS AND MY MONEY WAS HELD WITH THEM. I got a mail of cancellation on May 23, 2014. The refund was initiated on May 25, 2014. They took 25 days just to refund the money and I’m yet to get the refund reflected on my credit card. When I questioned Snapdeal, Flipkart etc take just 1 day to cancel they mentioned that it is Amazon’s policy.


AMAZON is clearly SELLER FRIENDLY, but NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY. Never expected this from an online site which boosts too much.

Cancellation date: May 25.
