I am frequent online shopper and have used many websites but Amazon.in is by the far the worst of them all. Firstly, they have large delivery timelines and on top of that they dont deliver by that estimated time as well.
I am not talking about some remote place but right in the heart of Bangalore city. I am sure Amazon.in has compromised on their courier facilities.I have two such bad experiences.
At first I thought, that it would be one-off case, but it happened the second time.
This is about a product which was shipped on 09th Dec from Chennai and estimated delivery timeline was 12-Dec 8pm. So, I waited on 12th Dec whole day wasting my time for nothing.
On 13th Dec, I tried to call their customer care. For some obscure reason the customer service contact number is not published on website.
You have to login into the account and click on various buttons which then reaches the call me button - Really frustrating. The customer care never has any details on the courier status as they have what is updated on the website - they dont even have courier guys number even if it is "out for delivery".
Now comes the worst part, the courier guy will update the status on website as "Delivery Attempted" without actually attempting a delivery.
The worst of worst is that they will attempt deliveries at odd timings like 09:30pm - I have never seen any courier which delivers at this late hour. This is a typical modus-operandi that Amazon.in uses and this was done second time.
The reason that I am confident about this is that my phone is always contactable, there was someone at home during all the times and my society maintains a register of people coming in and out.
There was no such record.I was so fed up that I wanted to cancel and get a refund to which the customer service guy said "It is not possible".
I wish there were some regulations for online websites and they be booked under some penal code for harassing customers and giving mental agony.
Complete cheaters. Dont ever buy from Amazon.in.
