In the last week of November 2015, I placed an order with Amazon.in for "TP-Link TD-W8901N"(Wifi Router+ Modem). I searched other Online shopping websites(like Flipkart, Snapdeal etc) for the price of this device. While others were selling it for more than Rs. 1, 450/-, Amazon.in was offering this device for Rs. 1, 059/- only+ free delivery. I immideately booked the product. Expbected date of delivery was 4th December.
I live in Chennai. In the first week of December, Chennai witnessed its worst rains in the last 100 years! Due to this unprecedented heavy rains, Amazon had to stop its delivery service and so the delivery of my product was delayed.
I contacted their customer care on 7th December(Monday). This was the first time I was contacting them, as I had never felt the need to do so in all my past purchases. So I was really surprized to see that on Amazon app, I had to just put my contact no and request for the call back, and withing 10 seconds I got call from Amazon customer care!
Although it took more than two weeks for chennai to become normal, Amazon was able to start its delivery from Monday(7th December) itself, and Amazon customer care team made sure that my product was delivered to me on priority basis, and on 10th of December, I got this product.
