I’ve been frequenting Ambience Mall since the past few months, and have found it to be the best mall in Gurgaon. Here’s a snapshot of my experience of Ambience Mall:
Access:
This is a big downer for Ambience mall. As one enters Gurgaon from Delhi through the toll gate, the mall is located 500m ahead on the left hand side of the road. This makes access very convenient for delhites. However, for people living in Gurgaon, one has to take a U turn 100m before the toll gate, which is a complicated maneuver during traffic hours. Even in off peak hours, it remains unsafe, given the prevalent rash driving on the toll road.
Parking:
Ample space is available for Parking which is spread over 3 levels. Given the enhanced security checks, it takes about 10-12 mins to park the car post one has entered the main gate of the Mall.
Space:
This is the clincher. The mall is huge and is very well spaced out. So even on Saturdays, one has ample space to walk around at one’s own pace. This is pure bliss given the state of other popular malls in Gurgaon.
Movies:
This mall houses PVR Premiere and PVR Gold. The number of screens is very good(more than 5) and the ticket availability is usually not a problem if one books in advance on pvr site. The screens are big and sound is amazing.
Food Court:
This is another downer. The food court in this mall is extremely noisy and cluttered. The seating is haphazard and not comfortable. On weekends, it is nearly impossible to find seats. A kids amusement area adjoins the food court, which adds to the noise and chaos.
Restaurants:
There is a good choice of fine dining restaurants in the mall. It houses Fresco, Indi Joe, Sahib Sind Sultan, Aromas of China to name a few.
Shopping:
Almost everything is available under one roof. This mall houses Big Bazaar, Reliance Retail chain & Pantaloons. It also houses showrooms of all major brands, including high end brands.
