I flew from Lexington to Chicago on American Eagle, and from Chicago to Delhi on AA. It was a pretty comfortable experience, Id say.
I flew economy, and the seats were pretty good with leg space as compared to United. The Indian food didnt taste that good on the flight. I go hungry on most flights cuz I dont really like to eat on flights.
I do remember that lights were not functional in one of the lavatories, so it was pretty dark when youd go there.
One thing Id complain about is that my seat had no carry-on bin to keep my luggage cuz that one was occupied by emergency equipment needed by the airline, so I had to keep my bag somewhere in the front. Overall, it was a pretty cool experience. Id recommend AA. Again, their planes are so pretty & huge from the outside. And it was one of my very first flights where I actually watched two movies on the TV without any hindrance.
And yea, their check-in counter guy charged me $300 for just half a pound overweight on all my three suitcases. I mean one was a mere 0.25 lb overweight and the others were 0.50 lbs overweight. I have never experience so strict baggage rules with any other airline though. Upon arrival to Delhi, I had to wait about half an hour to see my luggage on the baggage belt. I guess there were too many passengers, but this never happened before with other airlines.Id recommend AA though. Their logo is cool too.
