I have in annual fees, even though everyone gets credit card for free, because I was impressed with customer care services.
But with time, that has become good with every card, ok not every card but now we have international cards available where customer care is also very supportive. earlier hdfc and icici and local banks used to offer credit card whose customer care was bad. hence like amex.
but amex reward points are actually useless, until recently when we can pay for annual fees using these points. the curated collection from which we can buy using htese points was also not good, nothing to buy, on top of that the website wont work. Now we can use points to buy on flipkart, which is revolutionary.
I think Amex screwed up in between but it is again coming back. I am still paying a fee so that when I need some support, a pleasant voice answers me. I have heard their customer care hires only the best in industry, pay a bomb, trian like hell and put customer above everything else. Thats why I pay.
