I purchased Kingfisher-Amex co-branded card for 5000/- in 2011. As they promised, the money paid by using this card would be converted into Travel Miles which they called Kingmiles. First this card cannot be used everywhere as Amex has very less distribution ie. you can not use this card in most of the places like Pizza shop, CCD or most of the common places where we used Credit card. This is because Merchant has to pay more to Amex for the service of this card. But most frustrating thing is when Kingfisher stopped working, the kingmiles I am having are of none of the use.
I requested the company to convert these miles to convert into Gift Voucher or something. But no one is ready to hear or take any action. Amex says, that we have converted your money used into the Kingmiles and there our responsibly ends and Kingfisher Customer Care number doesnt work at all. When I tried to communicate through Email with Kingfisher, I only get responses that We are about to begin our operation this reply I am getting for last 6 months. I understood that there are troubles going on with Kingfisher Airlines but that doesnt mean that the consumer should lose. I paid 5000 to buy this card and use the card whenever possible but when there is time to use the Reward points (Kingmiles),
No company is ready to take the responsibility. If the card is co-branded that means if 2 big companies evolved, both the entities have equal responsibilities towards their consumers, sadly in this case, none of the entity is read to take the responsibility!!!!
