After the brilliant American Pie can the makers come up with a film just as funny with new ideas? The answer is yes. American Pie 2 is even funnier than the first one and the best thing is all of the original characters are in it, all of them, even down to the MILF boys.
This time Jim and co. are off on holiday, renting a house by the beach for the summer. Stifler is invited just so that they can afford it but to get extra money they paint houses to get more so that they can have a party on the last day.
The second American Pie film is hilarious, even more hilarious than the first. Jim obviously is still completely useless at everything and has a brilliant accident which will make you think twice about using superglue again. The Steifmeister is still the same, trying to get in every woman’s pants that he sees. Finch spends the entire summer waiting for ‘Steve’s Mom’ and Jim’s Dad is still trying to be the trendy understanding Dad. The best character though is Michelle and there are some great band camp stories in this one!
The party at the end turns out as planned with all of the characters getting together again, even Nadia makes a return. Apart from the funny bits there is an actual story to the film which revolves around Jim, Nadia and Michelle. Jim even gets some band camp stories of his own!
We watched this film in a big group and everyone enjoyed it, there wasn’t a minute of silence because we were all in hysterics all the way through the film. The acting is all good though it doesn’t matter because you will be laughing that much that you won’t be concentrating on it or the soundtrack which is actually quite good if you listen to it.
You will need to watch this film a couple of times to see things you missed laughing the first time round. One of the funniest films I have seen it’s bound to be one of the best of the year.
