We all have seen, heard and read enough of Mr. Bachchan. Whatever he does is news. Its natural then that when he starts blogging, he’s all over the news again.
Whats unnatural though, are allegations that he has been paid some billions to write his blog. Why do I feel this is unnatural? Here’s my case.
He updates his blog religiously, even if it is the midnight of a long tiring day (contrast that with Aamir whose blog cries for his attention)
He makes it a point to read every comment posted and answer most questions, graciously acknowledge most good wishes and adulations
He bares his soul, writes from the heart, a far cry from the diplomatic gentleman we see in the interviews, giving us a glimpse in to the regular man with normal emotions that he is deep down
He answers, reacts and at times lambasts criticism directed his way for various reasons
The list can run long. But the point is that when he is not doing all this for the money, then for what else?
At his age, one is resigned to retrospect on their lives and ’the original angry young man’ of India too is doing the same.
He obviously has loved the adulation, prided himself on his fan following and thanked people for their prayers.
And now he wants to repay their love and respect by baring his soul to them as if it was their own, which they always believed it to be.
