Many of his films in the 1970s followed a set formula -- a poor childhood, parents murdered or separated after birth, survival through street-smart instincts, entry of a villain (usually a social oppressor or smuggler, also his parents killer or long lost father!), some comedy scenes. A drunk scene, songs, dances, action finale and probably a dying speech. It can be argued that Salim-Javed stories written for Amitabh during the 1970s form an informal sequel, with the same character being played out in various settings.
In restrospect many of his films were run-of-the-mill masala movies with creaking plots and sub-par production values. In fact his performance, though consistently above average is nothing above the newer generation. His face does not have a range of emotions, his dialogue delivery is the same in every film and he tends to look clueless in expressions. One has seen veteran stars in Hollywood films too. Who are far more emotive, the same efforts are not evident from Amitabh Bachchan in my humble opinion, it seems more like AB is just capitalising on his hype.
Compare that to Aamir Khan, who essayed two dynamically different characters from the rugged, charming and courageous Bhuvan, to the couldnt care less, hip, collage student, Akash. Both performances were natural and completelly gelled with the characters. While AB, in each films his performance looks like a performance, that maybe is a paradoxical thing to say, however he does not come across as natural, he comes across as simply an actor. An overrated actor, I would say. There is no denying the fact that apart from a megastar he is an accomplished actor still one should stop some where.
Fullfilment never comes, it has to be realised. In a dignified way he should call it a day the same way he has carried himself all these years and entertained the entire nation across its length and breadth. And leaving a lasting impression on the whole generation. Its better if he chooses the endorsements also because oflate he is doing ads for any pens or tels (oils). These things do not match with his personality and character for which he is known. Yes I do agree that Amitabh is over exposed. He should take the example of Dilip Kumar & Aamir Khan, who believe in total quality.
The fans thirst for their view, because if you are readily available at all times, then its natural that the curiosity dies. He being the most popular & natural actor should lead with better examples. Only the best is expected from a legend like him. Aamir Khan may have half of his talent, but then he has provided the best example for the younger generation. Lastly the only thing I would like to say is that Quality & Quantity never goes same by same; Quality is never followed by Quantity & Quantity never follows Quality. The Bachchans are known as Liars by this government.
Then with the BJP party they were thiefs. He stole money of the poor such a hungry greddy man that he is. He should stop acting in Bollywood. Such a old ugly wicked man. All they want is money they broke up with the Gandhi family because of money. Amitabh Bachchan has got an iilegal bank Account in Swizerland. He also a part of the bad party Amar Singh, a man is known for being a liar and cheat. Also most important he broke the Kapoors relationship because of money again. All he wants is billionares friends. If you dont have billlions, you cant be apart of the Bachchans family.
Shame on this family. This is proves that Bachchans are money diggers. They fall out with you if you cant help them with money issues, also he got iilgeal help from the Gandhis, who were willing to help him when he was doing iilgeal business, shame on this big man. Its true not that indeed the Bachchans didnt wanted Karisma because of money problems they wanted her to sign papers saying if they marry Karisma she will not have rights to what they own. Now I believe its true because the Bachchan break up with Gandhis is because of money.
Why did Amitabh Bachchan fall out with the Gandhi family? The answer probably lies in the fact that when the Bachchans, Indias most celebrated showbiz family, were in a financial crisis following the collapse of his company ABCL, the Gandhis could not help them out and Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh did. The question that had haunted people for more than a decade came into the open in outbursts of Jaya Bachchan, Samajwadi Party MP, and ripostes from Rahul Gandhi. Jaya Bachchan, while addressing an election rally in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the bye-elections, said in an oblique reference to the Gandhis that those who brought them into politics had left them midway.
She also praised Amar Singh for the help and support he extended to her family when it was in a crisis. The Bachchan and Gandhi families were very close and it was Rajiv Gandhi who brought Amitabh Bachchan into politics and made him an MP in 1984, a fact that Bachchan has publicly admitted. However, there was a falling out between the families after the Bofors corruption scandal erupted and the break was final after Rajivs assassination in 1991. Rajiv helped them (Bachchans) when VP Singh (who also fell out with Rajiv Gandhi) went after him (Amitabh Bachchan) for alleged foreign exchange violations and for having illegal Swiss bank accounts (related to the Bofors scandal).
He (Amitabh Bachchan) formed his business corporation only after he got out of all these troubles, a close associate of the Gandhi family who did not wish to be identified pointed out. But its true that when Bachchan was in financial trouble, the Gandhis could not help him. If Bachchan expected the Gandhis to pull him out of that, it was simply beyond their wherewithal, the associate told IANS. Rahul Gandhi had defended his family from the insinuations made by Jaya Bachchan, saying the family had not deceived anyone.
Disturbed at the comments that have come from a once-close personal friend, Sonia Gandhi felt disappointed and offended, said the associate. Who is very close to the Gandhi household. Some pro-Congress sources said Sonia Gandhi felt that it was the Bachchans who abandoned her when she and her family were in distress after the assassination of her husband and former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi in 1991. The Gandhi family always stood by those who were loyal to it, said the source, evidently speaking on the authority of Sonia Gandhi, citing instances where those loyal to the family have been traditionally accommodated or their families helped.
In an interview to Aaj Tak in April this year. Bachchan had said the Gandhi family had closed the door on him and the onus of taking this relationship further rested with that family. There are personal reasons (for the break in relations), he told his interviewer. Asked if he would like to meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi. The film actor had said, for what? When the doors have been closed. Also, in a candid admission that he was a failure in politics, he said it was because he did not have the qualifications of a successful politician. Its seems this family are only interesed in if you are helping them, if you cant they dont like you, well f Amitabh Bachchan may this man die. I am glad that Karisma is not part of this family, they are disgracful its better to be a Kapoor, Khan, Deol, Singh, than to be a Bachchan.
