Incompetent staff personnel and management. Do not take admission in this college and it should be your last choice. I may get kicked out of this uni for exposing it. This is my true opinion based on experiences and observations.
Hostel issues
Pigeons are everywhere on the fifth floor, and they like crap everywhere. Sometimes they crap on the watercooler basin. I experienced two bats in the first semester one flew into my room and the other was dying on a window
There is a weird water leaking issue in the hostel, which causes the plaster and the paint to fall off which causes a mess everywhere
People in the hostel, don’t respect your personal space or privacy. They do not understand that after 10 PM, people need sleep so they decide to shout and play loud music until two or three in the morning, so you sleep gets screwed.Also it’s 6 people Sharing ONE TOILET AND ONE SHOWER
The lift sometimes randomly stops working for months or weeks. So after classes, when students are tired, they’re forced to take the stairs.
There are random broken windows also missing bars, which is a huge safety hazard
The metal Almira that we have in the hostel rooms are crappy, rusted, broken, or can easily be broken into
Creators like rats, mice, cockroaches, and other disgusting, unsanitary creatures have been discovered, observed and seen moving the Hostel and campus
Mattresses are extremely unhygienic. A few of my friends in the Non Ac hostel had experienced scabies, so that’s another hygiene issue. Also, the beds are tiny uncomfortable, and the mattress is uncomfortable
There are also thieves, stealing, anything underwear, money, laptops, whatever they can get their hands on
They also like to switch on the AC very late, especially when is hot as hell in the summer. I’m talking 30° + Celsius. The ac has no temperature control it’s just 3 extreme temperatures 1-3 where 3 is the coldest and one is the hottest
Sometimes the water coolers don’t have water in them, and they are also not chilled sometimes, so you end up drinking warm water, assuming there is water in the water water cooler left which is rare
The laundry people also screw up your clothes if you have designer clothes or clothes with any sort of style on them, that is expensive. Do not get washed here. Get it washed at home because you will either find holes burnt marks or some discolouration on your clothes.
The water here is also hard, so it can screw up your hair and your skin too
The rooms and bathrooms are in dire need of renovation. There are weird stains everywhere in the shower.
You also can’t cook your own meals in the room because inductions and kettle aren’t allowed either forced to eat the crappy food inside Amity, or you have to order expensive food from outside
The output system is so horrible. They treat you like little children. They need to call your parents or get their permission to allow you to go outside, even though we are adults fully capable of making your own conscious decision.
The curfew is at 9:30 PM. You have to be in the hostel by 9:30 PM.
All hostel blocks aren’t connected properly for some reason, you have to go down to the first/ground floor and then go back up all the way to the other side of the building stairs
All hostel incidents seem to not be reported in the media and it seems like amity likes to cover up such incidents, we had a fire last year and nobody in the news was aware of it, there have been casesof the wardens themselves mismanaging things and abusing power as seen on Snapchat videos
There are also monkeys all over campus, one got to my friends room, and urinated on the floor, made a mess and left
Wi-Fi sucks like crap and they block a lot of things that people actually want to use Wi-Fi for for examples, movie streaming games, and other things so you ultimately have to end up using your hotspot on your waste data also, only Airtel works over here. Other carriers have issues with connectivity over here.
The over environment of a hostel has been compared to a jail or has been called depressing, substances are also used to cope with the issues inside the hostel (wasn’t as bad as the previous two years, harder drugs where used but now it’s just mostly cannabis), they have also been used solely as peer pressure or fear of missing out or other issues I guess? My friends say they don’t smoke no where near as much when they are out of the hostel vs when they are inside

——General Amity issues start here——
Incompetent staff/personell if some issue happens on Amitys end apparently they don’t care and try to ignore it or cover it up
but if you screw up it’s a huge problem, it’s pretty hypocritical
There are rats in the departmental store, which I have seen with my eyes and I have also seen rat crap everywhere near the packaged products and nobody seems to have noticed
Antisocial behaviour seen by staff dogs have been seen with injuries, twisted legs, bite, marks, beating marks (could also be caused by other dog fights)
Food is not safe for human consumption. You may experience diarrhoea, bloating, gas, or indigestion due to poor hygienic standards. (Your stomach may adapt over time ??) food prices also increase sometimes with near identical quality
Washrooms are in unusable condition on campus. There is either unflushed crap or un flushed urine or something on the toilet. It’s only recommended to user to urinate. If you need to crapp? Please hold all the way until you get home. Or if you are unfortunately a hostel resident please use the hostel washroom.
In competent teaching personnel, teachers here can’t teach in class. It seems like they just try to get the syllabus down your throat without properly explaining anything and it just seems like going to class for attendance, you end up having learn everything yourself.
There also appears to be mold in the front mess a few of the staff have also been observed, maintaining poor hygiene practices while cooking one in cafetrias one of my friends witnessed a cook scratch their armpits, and use the same hand to cook with (took a roti out with the same hand with no gloves)
Also once we were forced to go in blazing heat around 40-50 degrees temperature to get an internship kind of a thing and they’re threatening to hold the degrees for those who didn’t give this FORCED internship during OUR summer break.
