Money Minded Conspirators

Don’t go to Amity University. I know you may ignore my review and continue getting into this college because that’s what I did a few months ago and now I’m just regretting it. I was doing BCA from Amity University Noida and the fees are beyond your expectations just for a small course like this where a quality job is even not guaranteed. This answer will be quite long but please read it till the end, then only you will get to know about these conspirators.

I belong to a middle-class family and my father is a small businessman. His business got hardly hit due to the CoViD-19 pandemic and unfortunately, we were not able to pay the first semester’s fee of ₹65, 000 even after having a 50% scholarship. We somehow started paying fees on an EMI basis and applied for an education loan from Allahabad Bank with whom Amity has tied up for speedy disbursal of loan. BUT, even after knowing my plight, they never helped. Due to a lack of support from college authorities, my loan sanctioning process started facing a lot of delays (you know the behaviour of the Bank when it comes to middle-class people).

From here their propaganda began. I wrote to UGC regarding my situation. UGC replied to me and the Amity. In the reply, they asked the Amity University to help me at the earliest and resolve the issue. BUT just after few days, all those emails got deleted from my mail ID, I didn’t understand why until my name got struck off due to not paying the fees on time. Every other mail was still there except those in which I stated my situations and requested them for help.

Now let me tell you the reason behind Amity’s shameful actions. As per their policies, you are supposed to pay the fees of 1 month prior to the upcoming semester (even if you haven’t given the exams or you have failed in all of them, you have to pay the fees for next semester). If you don’t pay the fees then a late fine of ₹15, 000 will be levied on you. Think about a boy who is waiting for his loan to be disbursed and eventually he has been asked to pay another huge sum of money just for delaying the fee payment due to proceedings of Bank with which college itself has tied up. The second semester started from the first week of February and my loan got sanctioned to me in the second week of March but due to all this, I couldn’t get attendance even after attending all the classes. UNFORTUNATELY, just when I got my Loan amount for paying the fees, they deleted all those mails and struck off my name. Their Rulebook mentioned that “If a student remains absent for a month without any prior application or valid reason, then his name will be struck off. The student will receive a notice on the second week of continuous absence to provide a satisfactory reason.” Now you can clearly understand why they struck off my name after deleting all those emails.

After strucking off my name, they started unfolding the second step of their propaganda. Now they said to me that “If you wish to save your year then there is one option, pay ₹15, 000 for re-admission because your name has been struck off, pay a late fee fine of ₹15, 000 along with the second semester’s fee which is ₹45, 000 (after scholarship) and since you’ve not got sufficient attendance, therefore, you won’t be allowed for giving exams so, to gain extra credits in this semester you’ll have to pay extra ₹30, 000. And due to all this, we’ll stop giving a 50% scholarship to you so, from next semester onwards you’ll have to pay ₹95, 000 instead per semester….”. They even gave me a second option which was to withdraw my admission take admission again these years and start my course from the beginning. This will cost me ₹30000 per semester but in this option, I’ll the first semester’s fee which I paid with EMIs (with additional interest). Whether I choose the first option or the second one, I’ll have to lose/waste almost ₹50, 000 in both ways. They’ve spoiled my complete year just because of their greed for money.

So, my dear brothers and sisters, if your parents’ hard-earned money matters for you then please don’t go for Amity or any other private university. They are stubborn and can fall to any level for fetching money from your pocket. For those who doubt my identity, I’m attaching a screenshot of my Amizone (which is a portal for Amity’s students and faculties and can be accessed by them only). I’ve spent a whole one hour on this answer and would be more than happy if I would be able to save anyone’s future and career from getting into this University.
