Vehicle is good but price high.
Chinese EVs have global transport department quality assurance.
Chinese 55kmph electric scooter costs rs 40, 000/- ( bulk shipping cost is low per piece and hopefully low levies too).
I will give you a simple example highlighting difference in price of spares between
Chinese and Indian EVs.
Plastic panel with no electronics or electrical parts for Indian scooter costs rs. 6000 - 8000
but duplicate Chinese plastic panel is available at rs.850 or less.
Plastic panel for Indian/ jap motorcycle cost rs. 1500 - rs. 4000
But duplicate Chinese spare costs less than rs.500. ( fits with jugaad and doesn’t look pretty but we manage because it fits budget).
There are people with money and means for Indian/ jap goods and they will never purchase Chinese products because they don’t have time for servicing it in case of problem.
But forgotten masses on the fringes could thrive with Chinese relatively cheaper EVs
Solar panels, batteries etc. We know repairmen around us or we meddle and find solutions.
We’re also people and not udders for milking by petrol tariffs or high ev/solar panel/battery costs. We could manage with budget Chinese EVs/solar panels/batteries.
