Amritsar is one of the most important spiritual and cultural center of the Sikh religion. We visited Amritsar in the weekend and our main places of interest were Golden Temple, Wagah Border and Jallianwala bagh.
AMRITSAR - Thy name invokes Peace-Passion-Prayer!
The city is more famous for the Golden Temple than for anything else.
The Jallianwala bagh is of historical significance and is just a hop skip and jump from the Golden temple and a must-visit place to view first hand the atrocious massacre of hundreds of innocents at the hands of Col. Dyer of the East India Company.
Heaven in earth.amritsar is one of city Punjab and if you are ever going to Punjab then make sure to visit amritsar once.you will love the positivity and good vibes around you.! personally I visit amritsar every year because of its main attraction golden temple or harmandir sahib . Golden temple is place where you feel heaven and everything too positive when you enter there. The temple is fully covered from gold inside and half gold from out side.every where ragis doing kirtan and outside a big beautifull sarovar which is sky blue in colour filled with different breeds of fishes . Other places to visit in amritsar is their food stalls around the city specially chole bhature and jilebi.well dont forget to try that.also its not much costly its really very resonally prices of food and clothes there.there is also places like Jallianwala bagh where you should visit to see our history.so I would definitely recommend to atleast visit amritsar once and enjoy!
