Remember any of the fun filled hoarding, which gave you a sense of joy and made you laugh? I bet that out of ten times 5 times it would have been Amul’s hoarding. (unless your sense of humour is sicker then mine). S
Why is this Amul girl so popular that for generations we have been watching it and it has nearly imprinted our minds with the slogan above utterly buttery delicious crept into the minds of billions (ok one billion) of Indians. it cant just be a piece of witty advertisement. there has to be something else.
That something is the ability to connect to billions (okay again billion)people and making them feel that there is a product made just for their choices. And the product kept the promise. I remember eating parantha in the morning with Amul butter, having toasts with Amul butter, and licking my hands along with.
What makes me so passionate about amul? Taste and a deep deep emotional bonding.. don’t you feel you are meeting a friend from your childhood when you see another pack of Amul butter in your kitchen with the girl smiling out of it? maybe amul has an advantage of better advertising and better distribution, but for me it was just an old friend all along.
